Set IIS 10 Express to use the same port every time when running/test web applications from VS 2015

    Question

  • So as I'm developing my ASP.NET web app, I noticed that when I test the app from Visual Studio, IIS 10 Express sometimes uses a different port number at times.  Is there a way to tell IIS to use the same port number on a per-project basis, or just flat out define one port to use in the settings?  It's not a big deal, but when I'm trying to set static absolute paths in code for testing purposes, it is helpful for it to use the same port number each time.  Suggestions?

Yes, you can configure it in the Project Properties. Rigth click your web project->Proerties->Web. Change the prot number in the Project URL
