How to write code to view or download word document from the folderpath in asp.net 2.0

Dear All,

 I have the folder name resume in that sasi.Doc file is stored.(ASP.net 2.0)

issue is that to create a hyperlink in mainwebpage, if the user clicks the hyperlink sasi.doc file is to opened directly in the ms word editor or it should ask the user to download and then he can view sasi.doc file.

consider ms office is not installed in the user's system or the version's varies.

Help me with the  code

 i think when you click on hyperlink a dialog box will automatically open with options open and save and if you click open it automatically will open in the most appopriate program tht is installed on the user'ssys...it will use wordpad if office is not installed

 

i think its not possile to open doc with coding...the same happens when you open a pdf file if adobe rader is not installes it will not open the file...
