  • Hi Hugo,

If you wish to have IIS functionality in Windows Embedded Standard 7 then you need to specifically include the IIS package in the image you are building. In Windows Embedded Standard 7 the "Turn Windows features on or off" functionality is not supported.

BTW This forum is for Windows Embedded Standard 2009. You can find forums for Windows Embedded Standard 7 alongside this forum at

  • If you have the appropriate disk for your WES7 image, you can actually install and turn on IIS from the command line on an already established image. For x32:

    DISM /online /add-package /packagepath:"D:\DS\Packages\FeaturePack\x86~winemb-iis~~~~6.1.7601.17514~1.0"
    DISM /online /add-package /packagepath:"D:\DS\Packages\FeaturePack\x86~winemb-iis-was~~~~6.1.7601.17514~1.0"

    For x64:

    DISM /online /add-package /packagepath:"D:\DS\Packages\FeaturePack\amd64~winemb-iis~~~~6.1.7601.17514~1.0"
    DISM /online /add-package /packagepath:"D:\DS\Packages\FeaturePack\amd64~winemb-iis-was~~~~6.1.7601.17514~1.0"

Reboot, and connect to You should be greeted with the default IIS page. Note that your drive letter and version number (SP1 or not) may differ.
