ReportViewer 2012 and 2016 controls not functioning for some users RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have created reports using both 2012 and 2016 versions of the report viewer control for ASP.Net. In the development environment everything renders correctly. For some users the controls inside of the ReportViewer control do not function correctly. We have a report with a checkbox list and the user cannot scroll the checkboxlist, although they can arrow through the list. This is running on IIS 7 and the users are using IE 11.  The users are running Win 7.

The controls work correctly without compatibility mode, but the users need compatibility mode for other controls in the app.

In the 2012 version, the controls render correctly but the user cannot scroll within the dropdowns.

See below, with the 2016 version, the user sees letters in place of the arrows that would allow them to scroll.
