Continuous Background Task

Question
-
Hey everyone,
I want my Windows Store App to keep running in the Background.
I know there are Background tasks but from what I've heard so far, they are not capable of running continuously in the Background. Is there any way I can have a Task running in the background for an undefined amount of time, e.g. with a while loop?
Thanks,
Patrik

No. Background Tasks cannot run arbitrarily.
What is the scenario you are trying to achieve? There may be a better way.

I have a Task that sends RGB values to a bunch of LEDs on my wall(TCP). I want animations to keep running whilst the app is not in the foreground.Monday, October 14, 2013 4:22 PM
