After Update Action giving mixed results on a Date Text Box If Using Key Board or Date Picker RRS feed

  • Question

  • Within an Access 2013 Web App, I am attempting to use the value of a Text Box bound to a Table field data Type of "Short Date" within an after update action.

    Issue:

    If the user updates the Text Box value using the Date Picker, the results are incorrectly showing the value of previous Date.

    If the user enters the new date from the key board (not using the Date Picker) the results is correctly showing the updated date.

    This happens ONLY when the user selects the Date Picker

    Can the this be resolved within the On Update Action Macro or can the Date Picker be disabled?

    How to duplicate the issue:

     Test Table1

    Fields: BeginDate - Date/Time (Short Date)

    EndDate - Date/Time (Short Date)

    Months - Number (General Number)

    Table 1 List Form

    EndDateTextBox - After Update - Action

    MessageBox = [EndDateTextBox]

    Results

    Example: The Original Date of 10/1/14 is updated to 11/1/14

    If the Date Picker is used to select EndDate the Message Box displays the Previous Date (10/1/14)

    If the user keys in the new EndDate, the Message Box displays the New Date(11/1/14).
