Is it possible to run multiple job for the same disk using flexible input output uility(fio)? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am trying to run fio with two different job file targeted on the same disk(OS:Windows 2012. It failed for raw disk as well as with with a file system). FIO passes for the first job. When I launch the second job, I see the following error
    func=open(\.\PhysicalDrive1), error=Invalid argument
    (lockfile is set none in job file)
    Note : I am not sure if this is allowed since howto.txt mentions Windows and FreeBSD prevent write access to areas of the disk containing in-use data.
