Access for Administrators to Folders in the VHD File RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

we use FSLogix for the first time in an RDS Environment.

The User Profiles are attached to the RDS Host. Everything works fine. For Maintenance it is usefull access the Profile Folders with an Administrative Account.

You can configure this in a group policy “Add the Administrator security group to roaming users profiles”

When the profile is created the Administrators are added automaticly to the ACL.

With the FSLOGIX VHDs we must gain access to the folders after we mount the file with the utility. The Access is saved and you can access the folders in future maintenance tasks.

Our question is if this feature like in the gpo is configurable with the Rules we can set for FSLOGIX

If the VHD is first created the Profile Folder in the vhd should automatic have an entry for Administrators or any other group from AD if necessary.

Can anybody give us a feedback if this is possible?

    Best Regards

We are creating the profile directory and setting the ACL on that folder.  It is not currently configurable, but I agree that honoring this GPO is a good idea.  Can you please submit this as an enhancement request on user voice?  That will be the fastest way for us get this prioritized.
