Un-installed SharePoint server 2013 now Service Unavailable on websites.

    Machine: Windows 2012 Server

None of this happened until I un-installed SharePoint server;. apparently it also screwed up IIS when it was being removed.

    ERROR:
    Service Unavailable

HTTP Error 503. The service is unavailable.

    Event Viewer:

1.)Application pool 'MBDEVWebAPI - 8314' is being automatically disabled due to a series of failures in the process(es) serving that application pool.

2.)A listener channel for protocol 'http' in worker process '3920' serving application pool 'MBDEVWebAPI - 8314' reported a listener channel failure.  The data field contains the error number.

This is happening on all sites even static HTML pages.

Starting the application pools and then visiting the website again causes the application pools to stop again. Has anyone run into this before and how can it be fixed?

    Hi,

I actually figured out how to fix it buy just re-installing IIS. Normally I wouldn't do this on a production machine by my server only had a few sites on it. I also tried all the different ways even the one you mentioned and no go.

Thanks for the help though :)

    Hi Mbelcher,

    mbelcher-mlbdev

HTTP Error 503. The service is unavailable.

This error might occur because of changing the service account password. You may need to change the new password to application pool. Click the stopped application pool -> click advanced settings ->Identity ->click the user to retype the user ->Application Pool Identity dialog ->click set -> manually type the user name and password. Ensure that app pool should start automatically.
