How To Select BASE64 Alphabet ? RRS feed

  • Question

  • hi

    my testing indicates that this function outputs MIME format:

    Public Function EncodeBase64_byte(ByRef arrData() As Byte) As String
    ' accepts byte
              Dim objXML As MSXML2.DOMDocument60
              Dim objNode As MSXML2.IXMLDOMElement

              Set objXML = New MSXML2.DOMDocument60

              ' byte array to base64
              Set objNode = objXML.createElement("b64")
              objNode.DataType = "bin.base64"
              objNode.nodeTypedValue = arrData
              EncodeBase64_byte = objNode.text

              Set objNode = Nothing
              Set objXML = Nothing
    End Function

    My understanding is that BASE64 supports 3 alphabets: MIME, BASIC, and URL.

    How can i adjust this code to return BASIC format, instead of MIME?

    thx

  • Hi Johny,

    As far as I know, the XDR only support the "bin.base64" data type. You can refer to the link below about more detail about XDR Schema Data Types:
