Does Fremy extensions dialog box run on SB9 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a number of programs that were written in earlier versions of SB and used the Fremy dialog box extension for example;

    SearchItem = Dialogs.AskForTextLine ("Enter the Item Number to Find.....                                " + ItemShowList )

    The "dialogs.AskforTextLine" does not work with SB9, any suggestions on how to use a dialog box other than the text window?

    The Fremy extension (FC.dll & FC.xml) uses FCDialogs with 1 argument:

    textItem = FCDialogs.AskForTextLine("Text Input")
    TextWindow.WriteLine(textItem)

    The Oskariak extension (Data.dll and Data.xml) uses Dialogs , with 2 arguments:

    textItem = Dialogs.AskForTextLine("Text Input","Enter a line")
    TextWindow.WriteLine(textItem)

    Both work with v0.9 for me.

  • I beleive that you don't have the lastest version of the extension, because the objects have now FC as prefix, you should download it again, in my 0.9 it works perfectly. Maybe you didn't put the .xml in the correct folder and then you misspelled the code...

  • I mentioned FC's only because of the title...

  • Thanks for the help, I downloaded the latest Fremy Extensions but I did not have the FC in front of the Dialogs, (I had an older version that did not have the FC)

  • Generally there are no changes in the structure of the libraries, so all DLLs that worked earlier should work now.
