Outlook 2013 Convert to resource RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

    The code below works well in Outlook 2007 and in Outlook 2010 and not in Outlook 2013: In Outlook 2013 the location field in appointment is not updated after changing recipient type to resource. It will be updated if I'll add another recipient or I'll change the focus to different control. The method resolve also doesn't work for this issue.

    Thanks,
    Eran

    The Code:

    Private Sub ConvertToResource()

        Dim oAppt As AppointmentItem

        Set oAppt = Application.ActiveInspector.CurrentItem

        Dim oRcpt As Recipient

        Set oRcpt = oAppt.Recipients(oAppt.Recipients.Count)

        oRcpt.Type = OlMeetingRecipientType.olResource

        Set oAppt = Nothing

        Set oRcpt = Nothing

    End Sub

  • I am surprised it worked in the older versions of Outlook - no recipient related changes are committed until you shift focus to a different control or make other changes.
