Testing windows 8 apps on W7

    Question

  • I am developing a Windows 8 App, but some members of my development team don't use Windows 8, so they can't run themselves the App to modify their work according to how it is shown in the app. Since they are written in JS, is there any workaround to run them on IE? I have tried to tun the HTML files but the JS wont work since it uses some XML loading and parsing functions from WinRT. The best solution I have found is to use virtual machines with W8, but i want to know if there is a better option.

  • Your only option is to run on Windows 8 either physically or virtually. Windows Store apps are not supported on Windows 7 and there are no emulators.
