  • Hi,

Please try to repair the import job once and check if the issue persists.

  • The reason drive preparation failed is because it is unable to locate the source files. Please confirm that you have specified the correct source directory. Source directory parameter should be specified as shown below,

    /srcdir:H:\Video1

Refer https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/azure/dn529097.aspx for a sample workflow of preparing a disk.

Also, note that Repair job does not help in this case.

  • Thanks for your reply.

I'm very sure I had given the correct source directory as mentioned below.

    C:\WAImportExport>WAImportExport.exe PrepImport /j:FirstDriveSC1.jrn /id:session1 /logdir:c:\logs /sk:<key> /t:f /srcdir:C:\Packages /dstdir:packages/ /BlobType:PageBlob /MetadataFile:c:\WAImportExport\SampleMetadata.txt

Source Directory exists. and im able to access it manually.

Could you please let me know, what could be the other possibilities causing this error.

  • This thread is a bit old, so you may have already found a solution, but I have had the same issue in the past, and was able to resolve it by adding trailing slashes to the end of the srcdir.

    So, replace "/srcdir:C:\Packages" with "/srcdir:C:\Packages\".
