2008 R2 Hyper-v machines rebooted unexpectedly RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

We had windows 2008 R2 Hyper-v Clustered environment. everything is going smooth here except that heper-v guests are unexpectedly rebooted for no reason.

I had checked the event viewer of the host server but found no errors except one error keeps repeated in the Hyper-V-VMMS Logs which is:

"The Integration Services Setup Disk image could not be updated: General access denied error (0x80070005)"

I dont's know if this error is related to the reboot issue.

I need a help if anyone has a clue what could be the issue.

  • I hope that someone is able to help with this. I am seeing the exact same issue. Out of nowhere, the VM slowly degrades (can't click around, etc.) and it reboots for no reason at all. This happens usually sometime after a failover.

Can we get some help with this?
