How to disable Update in Windows 10 IoT Enterprise RRS feed

  • Question

  • A customer of mine built and installed a Windows 10 IoT Enterprise.

After some automatic updates the video driver was updated disabling LVDS and enabling DVI.

In the BIOS the video output is set on LVDS.

Of course the video of the device is mounted on LVDS.

The customer restarted from the beginning and all works fine till the "automatic update" updates the driver.

As a workaround waiting for a fix of the driver, he should like to disable the automatic updates.

It is possible to disable the automatic updates in Windows 10 IoT Enterprise?

  • Try turning off the Windows Update service itself.

  • AFAIK, Windows 10 IoT is same as common Windows 10 except the EEFs, did you already try the solutions that can be found around the WWW?

  • Yes, I found that there is a check to "defer the updates" not to avoid them.
