Interactive Services Detection RRS feed

  • Question

  • My PC is Windows XP SP3 with Symantec ESP installed. I have a Terminal Server which is Windows 2008.

I have installed a few printers on this server. The interactive Services Detection is enabled.
I keep getting a interactive services detection dialog popup on my Windows 2008 Terminal Server showing everything going on with the spooler.  In conjunction with that, this is popping up on my PC as well.

I know I can just disable the service on the Windows 2008 terminal Server but would rather not.

Anyone have an idea why this is happening and how to fix it.

  • I got this exact same problem. We find that the spooler service stops on the Terminal Servers every now and then, so are wondering if it is due to interactive services waiting to be acknowledged by administrators when they log on.

  • For now, we have disabled it..   Hoping it doesn't create any other issues.  I have no idea why Microsoft did this.
