Hover triggers for a combobox RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi, I'm using Blend 3 and am having some problems with customizing a combobox.  Basically, I want to edit the hover animation, from blue to green for example.  I can't seem to locate that storyboard.  I tried creating a new trigger for MouseEnter, but it seems to work behind the blue hover animtion already existing.  Any help?

  • You than have to create a new Template and style your own States.
After that you have to register a MouseEnter-Event for your Combox and there use the VisualStateManager.GoToState("xy")

    Hope this works

  • Did you already try to Edit the Current Template?
    Select the combobox.
Go to Object -->Edit additional Templates -->Edit generated Item.
Now you see the default styles for the control. Feel free to change them as you like.

  • That works for the ComboBoxItem, but not the ComboBox itself.  When trying to edit the main template I can change the color and whatnot of the ComboBox, but I don't see a "isMouseOver" or "isHighlighted" trigger for it.

  • Hmm...  Alright, I'll just have to mess with this much.  Thanks Stef.
