WinJS IFRAME Permission Denied

    Question

  • The application I am working on needs to load a map (hosted on a seperate domain) into an IFRAME and allow the user to click objects on it. The map itself is a .jsp file.

I can render it fine in an IFRAME but when I try to listen for a click event in the IFRAME I get a permission denied message.

I've been reading about using ms-appx-web:/// to load the map into a seperate .html page and display that in the app but I can't see how to render the jsp - all the examples I have seen are using a mapping web service like Bing or Google Maps and the map I have doesn't work like this.

Has anyone managed to do this and if so could they post a code sample?

  • Hi,

First, you can't use a jsp file in windows store app.

Second, iframe will render fine in windows store app. But you can't listen a click event in that, except the event of itself.

Generally, we recommend that you use map service to do that.
