Input Mask RRS feed

In standard ASP.Net Dynamic Data you have available the page template and field templates that are provided by default: text, date, numeric, etc.

In order to have some kind of input mask and/or validation for you data entry, you use a MetaData file in which you add sentences like

    [DisplayFormat(DataFormatString = "{0:D}")]

BUT you must do this for every field of that type in your model as to achieve the expected result so I was wondering if there might be a way in which you can add this type of coding in my FieldTemplate's behind source code instead of the MetaData file. In that way, all fields will use this type of data entry mask all at once without having to add the code in my MetaData file

    Is that possible at all?
