Weird tmpl val RRS feed

Answers

  • Hi Dave,

That value doesn't conform to the type that Word uses or the standard specifies which is a long hex value, specifically 8 digit hex number. If you feed this to Word it won't complain but when setting this code up for the Word UI, it will just change it to a valid hex number and emit the conforming value.

So that should not be produced by Word and may be a corruption. If you can get repro steps for us, we'll investigate here.

  • Thank you - we're not going to write code to handle corrupt values so we'll mark this as the user needs to fix their file.

    thanks - dave
