  • If you check SQL Error Log is massage like this

Login failed for "sa". Reason: An attempt to logon using SQL authentication failed. Server  is configured for Windows authentication only. [Client: <localmachine>]. Error 18456, Severity: 14, State: 58

If it is like then you need to change the authentication mode perform following steps

    1.     Right click on Server

    2.     Click Properties

    3.     Click Security from left side of window

    4.     On Right hand side check the radio button SQL Server and Windows Authentication mode

    5.     Click Ok

    6.     Now restart your SQL Server by right click and restart

After performing these steps now login with sa,this solve your problem.
