How to get chinese Bing Map using Ajax control API v7 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Dear All,

Could anyone tell me how to get the localized Chinese Bing MAP using Ajax API v7? I tried to set the local using the following statement in the webpage, but some city names were still shown in English, so not really in Chinese.

    <script type="text/javascript" src="http://ecn.dev.virtualearth.net/mapcontrol/mapcontrol.ashx?v=7.0&mkt=zh-Hans"></script>

I checked the library and looks like Chinese local is not supported in AJAX API, is that true?

if it's not possible with AJAX API, just wondering how can I get Chinese MAP?

    Cheers,

    John

  • Currently there is no supported way to do this. This is something we are still working on.

  • Could you elaborate? I am at the point where I need to support maps in China and I need to decide if we should wait for v7 support or re-write everything using v6.3.

    Is China support nearing completion?

  • Don't use v6.3. I don't even think the Chinese version of it is online anymore. Email me at ricky_brundritt at Hotmail.com and we can discuss some options for Chinese maps.
