  • KM,

Microsoft released the Windows Developer Preview in just the two architectures today; x86 (32-bit) and x64 (64-bit).  No ARM installs, sorry.

  • Hi Moolivkkr,

The three developer preview images on http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/apps/br229516.aspx that are currently available all require either a 64-bit X64 system or a 32-bit X86 system.  They will not install on ARM.

    Sincerely,

    Dan

  • Thanks Chris and Dan for the prompt response. I'm really interested in developing applications for the touch screen (mainly tablet) and thats

the reason for asking arm installer.

Any plans for selling/distributing developer version of the tablets to experiment with application similar to the samsung given to the build attendees?

    Thanks

    KM

  • Hi Kishore,

I haven't heard of any plans to sell/distribute developer versions of tablets.  Furthermore, although I can't make a recommendation for a specific brand/model, you probably will be hearing experiences of people in the community who have put the Developer Preview images onto various X86/X64 based tablets.

    Good luck and have fun!
