  • Hi AndyC12 12,

    Thanks for your post.

From the error message "Download was failed", the repair operation was canceled because Installer cannot find the Source.

How did you install .NET Framework 4? I'm confused about your issue because "Install .NET 4" and "Fail to repair" are different options.

Could you please provide the full error message or use MVP's tool to gather logs for us.

To solve your issue, whatever you want to do, either "repair" or "install".

The error message may tell us "Use standalone installer from here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=17718 will help on your issue."

Note: If you tried to repair but got this error, please uninstall it from control panel then install it again.

  • Please provide the install logs for analysis, as follows:

Please collect your install logs with this:

    http://aka.ms/vscollect

After you run Collect.exe, you'll find vslogs.cab in your %temp% directory. Please upload vslogs.cab to a public site, like SkyDrive, and post the link here.
