Persistence issue -null value into column 'SurrogateLockOwnerId' RRS feed

  • Question

  • Here is the scenario:

Our business want to test an app based on workflow. So we restored all work flow persistence data and business data which is created by workflow from prod database to test database. And when call workflow on test environment , below issue happens.

Cannot insert the value NULL into column 'SurrogateLockOwnerId', table 'System.Activities.DurableInstancing.LockOwnersTable'; column does not allow nulls. INSERT fails.

Do you guys have any idea how to address this issue? What is the lockownerstable used for?

    Thanks

  • Hi FanYo

As the error message shows, this is a general error message, Cannot insert the value NULL into column .... . For this issue, it's recommanded to check relevant procedures about database testing first, many things should be taken into consideration:

    1. Ensure that the test environment matches the production environment as closely as possible.

    2. Plan to measure maximum sustainable throughput and maximum sustainable tracking throughput of the BizTalk Server system. etc.

Please check the links about Planning the Database Tier and follow the guide, perhaps it helps on troubleshooting.

    Best regards

    Angie
