Help with Report Model Wizard crashing VS RRS feed

  • Question

    Hello,

I'm really stuck on this problem and haven't been able to find anything in regards to it.

I've been using the SQL Reporting Services (2005) and Visual Studio.NET 2005 everything, for the most part, has gone just fine.

Recently though, every time that I try to run the Report Model Wizard, at the end of the 'second pass' it never fails that VS will crash and leave me this error message in my Event Viewer:

    EventType clr20r3, P1 devenv.exe, P2 8.0.50727.762, P3 45716759, P4 system.windows.forms, P5 2.0.0.0, P6 4889dee7, P7 1521, P8 12f, P9 system.unauthorizedaccess, P10 NIL.

First thing I noticed was the system.unauthorizedaccess so I tried applying permissions to my project folder and that has not helped at all.

Anyone know what is causing this error and what I can do to resolve it?

  • Hi,

I have been able to solve my problem with one of these actions :
-disable source control if you have it enabled
-in a file explorer select the directory of your project and in its properties, uncheck Read Only

  • I had the same issue.  After reading Clement's reply - I checked out the data source and the data source view and the error went away.
