remove / eliminate warning message from Access when opening URL RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi.

    I have an access 2007 database which opens a webpage after creation of a url from information input. When the first form loads, the VBA sitting behind this, I get a warning message suggesting the data may be harmful this requiring me to click the radio button saying that I recognise the content and to proceed.

    This message may appear 2 or even 3 times before the form is useable, and on 75% of occasions caused the access to shut down.

    The initial code i use on load is:

    Dim strURL As String
      Dim objIE As Object

        strURL = ""
        Set objIE = Me.WebBrowser0.Object
        objIE.Navigate strURL

    The code works fine and the expanded search code is:

    strURL = "" & Me!callsign
        Set objIE = Me.WebBrowser0.Object
        objIE.Navigate strURL

    I have included the URL in the trust centre list, and in the security options of IE 11. if I reduce the security level i keep getting a message saying my security settings are wrong. The access database is also in a trusted location.

    Internet searches have found nothing specifically relating to the above scenario.
