In technical documentation, how do we refer to Windows 8 'Charms bar'. RRS feed

  • Question

  • We are currently adding Windows 8 scripts in our technical documentation, and we have seen the charms bar written several ways:

    - charms

    - charm

    - Charms

    - Charm

Could we confirm how we should be reffering to this bar, and we can then ensure it is correct in our documentation in accordance to Microsofts request.

    Thank you in advance

  • Hi,

normally they are called charms. If you refer to a specific part (f.e. the sharing mechanism) it is called Share charm. This is the way Microsoft uses it in their official documentation.
