Lots of stolen MSDN keys RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi. I recently had someone steal a lot of MSDN product keys from my account (over 150), including all my MultipleActivation keys, which is a big problem. Is there any way to get them ALL disabled so that the person can not use them?

  • Hi,

I'm not 100% sure (no one seemed to reply and I was wondering myself when I read your question a few days ago)!

I know that a large % are development keys anyway, so if you don't have to produce one (request) then it is generic.

I do think that if you report it to the police they would be able to do something. If the keys for OSs and newer apps are used they will need to connect to the internet to validate. Hopefully giving information about the computer its installed on.

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful. I hope someone can give you a more definitive reply.

    Regards,

    Allan
