How do you Add a Checkbox to the body of an email? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm creating an email message dymanically and am using HTMLBody to contain the text of the email:

    Dim OutlookMessage As Outlook.MailItem
    Set OutlookMessage = Application.CreateItem(olMailItem)

    OutlookMessage.HTMLBody = "<HTML><BODY> ...  </BODY></HTML>"

    ...

    OutlookMessage.Display

    ...

    I want to include a Checkbox in the HTMLBody.

    How can this be accomplished?

  • checkbox that will do what? you have to understand that no javascript code will execute inside outlook mail's body, so whenever user sets your checkbox or not will be lost anyway. If you want to gater data from user either go custom message class way (should work inside single organization/exchange) or use add-in
