Background color RRS feed

  • Question

  • How can I choose the color that goes behind/to the right of the player?

    I've changed it everywhere but it still appears white when I expect black. Any idea?

    For example I changed:

    - Background color in Manifest.xml to no avail

     - Body & iframe background color to no avail

    <body style="background-color:Black; height:100%; width:100%">

    <iframe src="http://silverlight.services.live.com/invoke/65193/Ashara_1/iframe.html" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" style="width:100%; height:100%; background-color:Black"></iframe>

  • This is weird indeed...

    If you set a fixed height and width (e.g 500px x 400px) there will be no white trim on the right of the player. But if you set a % value, then you see the right trim... Would that work out for you?

  • Hi,

    Are you using ASP.NET 3.5 Silverlight media player or MediaElement from Silverlight project?

    If you are using Media Element from Silverlight, there are two ways that you can do..

    1) You can set the transparent to Plugin background.

    2) You can also set the opacity to DIV where you host SL content.

    Please take a look my replies in this link http://silverlight.net/forums/t/14769.aspx (Yes. that post is not directly related to your question but you can read about how to make a transparent background.)
