I build a image with multi language (EN + TC +SC).

I set TC be my default.

I find that my device run after FBA the default language is SC.

I try to find the problem that I build EN + TC image.

The default language is correct (TC).

I add the SC and rebuild.

The problem is occurred the default language change to SC.

Can anyone give me some suggestions?

  • I wanted to say that if you have mui, you keep the default language to english while fba is running and so on. after fba you can change your language settings. - otherwise you will have problems with foldernames, startmenu and some other stuff.

intial installation = english. (in the NLS and Reginal Settings Component).

  • Hi.

Beside of you problem i highly recommend you to run TD with default english settings. This is more or less very important because of some folder structure. you can create an sld / reg file which loads after the whole building process the regional settings like you want. but anyway do yourseld the favor and install with english.

i dealed months ago with a costumer about language settings and folder structure.

  • There is Release Note that describes MUI issue:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-US/library/aa460102(v=WinEmbedded.5).aspx#xpesp2rnmuiissues
In a non-English runtime, both localized and non-localized folders are created under Documents and Settings.
    To work around this issue:
1.Boot into US English so that FBA is performed in English.
    2.Switch languages from the runtime.
