Sharepoint 2013 Quick Edit - Stop Editing this list event RRS feed

  • Hi,

    I am using Sharepoint 2013 on-prem version for a project. I have made use of custom lists.

    I am editing multiple records at a time and for that I am using Quick Edit mode. While editing multiple records, I want to check if any mandatory field is left blank or not. When I click on Stop Editing this list, Sharepoint is not able to identify if the mandatory field is left empty or not. Can you please suggest how to make sure if the field is not left empty in Quick Edit mode?

  • Hi,

    To achieve your goal you need to mark the site column (field) like required in the list settings page check the picture below:

    In this way when you edit the list, you can see which fields are mandatory:
