Uploading files from azure IoT Hub to azure stream analytics RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

When I upload files with IoT hub File upload, it automatically upload the file in a blobfolder with the name of the device id. When I do want to processing with stream analytics, stream analytics asks me to use {date}/{time} in mu path. But since stream analytics has no wildcards in the input path, I want to put the {date}/{time} on a higher level then the device id. Is this possible?

    Regards,

    Filip

  • Hi,

An alternate way to get the data to Azure Stream Analytics will be to send the data as messages through IoT Hub. This will enable efficient cross-devices queries and remove the dependency on the file path. Is it a scenario that will work for you?

    Thank you.

    JS.

  • Hi,

No it does not, we started using the file upload because of the files were to big to send in an IoT Hub message. But because of our troubles, we did a change in our architecture end we stopped using stream analytics. Thanks for your help!
