Azure Storage

I know EC2 offers a non-relational database solution that autoscales. It is significantly cheaper then using a SQL server solution. 

Is Azure Storage the same thing? How are people finding storing their data in there? Should I just keep it all to SQL Server? Or should I go down this route?

On Azure you have Table Storage but it is very limited compared to NoSQL databases.
