sharepoint online content and configuration data backup and restore

Question
-
I've got a question about the backup/restore possibilities in Office 365 SharePoint online.
My customer has a E1 licensed O365 tenant and is using SharePoint online site collections.
Can you give me an insight in how content data is backed up and restored
Once removed from the recycle bins, do I launch a service request to get this data available again for the user?
What's the retention once removed from the bins?
The customer is using customized third party solutions/app's/workflows. When these third party solutions one way or the other screw up the site collection, is there a way to revert to the previous configuration of the site collection. Is there a "configuration" data restore possible, in case of a solution release going wrong?
Do I request this restore with a service request? What's the retention time?
thank you for helping me out.

Hi ggeerts,
The backing up and restoring options are not available in SharePoint admin center in SharePoint online.
About the data on SharePoint Online, data protection services are provided to prevent the loss of SharePoint Online data. Backups are performed every 12 hours and retained for 14 days.
And you also could backup the date manually by saving the site as a template, moving the documents to another place, versions or other third party solutions.
If you delete the items, the items will be in recycle bins within 30 days. If the items are removed from recycle bins, you could launch a service request for a better user experience and date protection.
If one page is screwed up, you could reset the page to site definition. Go to site settings->site actions->reset to site definition-> enter the path of the page.
If the site doesn't work, you could reset the root site to site definition from SharePoint designer.
