.NET Framework installation on Windows 8 Release Preview Build 8400 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have tried to enable .NET Framework on Windows 8 Release Preview Build 8400. I have followed the article which outlines the use of DISM for enabling it @ http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd744582(v=WS.10).aspx. I was successful in configuring .NET Framework 3.5 in Windows 8 Consumer Preview. But the same command runs until 65.8% and then fails with the below error.

    Error: 14028

A component's file does not match the verification information present in the component manifest.

Tried multiple times with clean build but unable to make it work. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Hi Sanjeev VSTS,

    Welcome to the MSDN forum.

The page is no longer available so I cannot open that link.

Could you please tell me if you can enable .NET 3.5 on your OS first?

Just from the error I may say the package failed to be verified so you may need to check for checksum of it.

Please check for the sha hash number to make sure your setup is heathly and show us your updates,

    Thanks,
