List of ARM template description. RRS feed

Am I missing something fundamental with @Azure #ARM? Where are the resources defined so I can understand what templates *can* be written?  Do you have any links that describe the resources that are available thru. #ARM, e.g. "type": "Microsoft.Cache/Redis"

    Thanks,

  • Azure also publishes the JSON schema for most of its resource types. This schema is what would be used in the ARM template. The GitHub repo can be found here: https://github.com/Azure/azure-resource-manager-schemas

And Redis Cache, specifically, can be found here: https://github.com/Azure/azure-resource-manager-schemas/blob/c19ffa2d68eddd904746825901262a15bf6a5ef4/schemas/2014-04-01-preview/Microsoft.Cache.json

Additionally, if you use Visual Studio to edit the template, it will have auto-complete / intellisense for the various Azure resources. This same auto-complete / intellisense will also appear inside the new preview portal (portal.azure.com) if you edit the template there.
