Hiding the Kinect Hand Pointer RRS feed

  • Question

  • I need to hide the hand pointer for an application and I tried using kinectRegion.SetIsCursorVisible but it doesn't seem to work. The cursor is still visible after setting it to false.

Based on an earlier post I also tried using KinectCoreWindow.OverrideKinectInteractionMode(KinectInteractionMode.Off);  but this too does not hide the pointer.

Any recommendations on how to go about it ?

    Thanks in advance !

  • You can override how the pointer is rendered as demonstrated in the KinectPointerPointSample demo in ControlsBasics. You can change the RenderPointer function to suit your requirements as an alternative.
