Microsoft Office 2013 Word, Excel etc. Integrate into backStage SaveAs Ribbon RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi guys. I have a problem with integrate my item into Windows Word backstage (and have not problem with Open)

    I want to insert my button into backStage (File-SaveAs) above the "OneDrive" button. But OneDrive button it's not a task, and I can't write in my Ribbon like

    <task insertBeforeMso="ButtonOneDrive" />

    How can I insert my menu item above the "OneDrive" item in File-SaveAs backstage?

    Thanks.

  • Hi Bladerender,

    Please try the Ribbon XML below:

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <customUI xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/2009/07/customui" onLoad="Ribbon_Load">
      <backstage>
          <tab idMso="TabSave">
            <firstColumn>
              <taskFormGroup idMso="SaveGroup">
                <category id="mysave" visible="true" insertBeforeMso="Save">
                   <task id="mytask" label="My Custom Save">
                     <group id="mygroupSave" label="Custom Save Group" helperText="help text here">
                        <topItems>
                          <layoutContainer id="mylayoutContainer" layoutChildren="vertical">
                            <button id="myCustomButton" label="Click Me" tag="https://somesite.sharepoint.com/sites/projects" onAction="OnButtonClick" />
                          </layoutContainer>
                        </topItems>
                      </group>
                   </task>
                </category>

  • Hello,

    Office 2013 Help Files: Office Fluent User Interface Control Identifiers doesn't provide any OneDrive (SkyDrive) specific identifiers. I have found the following record only:

    SkyDriveUpsellGroup group None (Backstage View) TabSave SaveGroup Save ButtonTaskDynamicServiceProvider 24962

    Where exactly do you want to place your controls?

  • Did you try to use the ID I mentioned previously?
