Possible to view .vsp from 2008 stand alone in vs 2010 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All-

Recently I ran the VS 2008 stand alone profiler in a sharepoint 2010 environment that has a ton of custom code. Sharepoint 2010 uses .net 3.5, so I wasn't able to use vs 2010 stand alone profiler since it requires .net 4.0. For various reasons I am not able to install .net 4.0 on these server farms (they are shared and that would require too much regression testing.) I have a copy of MS VS 2010 Ultimate but I can't open that .vsp from 2008 stand alone. Does anyone know a way to convert it?

    Thanks!

  • My test result shows that Visual Studio 2010 can open .vsp file generated by Visual Studio 2008, could you please let me know the error message when you open .vsp file from VS2010?
