How can I keep my custom x-headers on "Save As" RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a mail (created from Outlook 2010) with additional named properties with GUID: PS_INTERNET_HEADERS they have the IDs 0x800B and 0x80A0 (they have been added by my outlook add-in).

When I open the a saved message (from explorer) and save it to another place (Save As) the message loses the headers.

Why outlook doesn't copy these headers? What do I need  to do to keep them?

  • Are you sure the property is actually in the MSG file? Can you see it in OutlookSpy if you click OpenIMsgOnIStg?

  • Do you still see the same problem if you use a different GUID other than PS_INTERNET_HEADERS. e.g. PSETID_Common?

    How are the properties set?
