Use WinJS.Namespace.define asynchronously RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am constructing WinJS classes based on a XSD, which happens asynchronously. Of course until the construction is complete no part of the app can use those classes. Is there a pattern that makes the other parts of the app wait until the classes are available?

  • From a general perspective there is a concept called promises which you can use in your app to perform certain activity when a previous activity completes. Are you looking for something else?
