vpn disconnecting every few minutes

Question

Hi, 
I am using Win XP SP2, connecting via vpn to my office and recently I am getting an error every now and then saying "the connection has been terminated locally by the client". When I check on the network connections, I realise that the cisco vpn adapter is disabled, when I enable it - after a few minutes it gets disabled again. And for me to connect I have to enable it every time.
any advice would be appreciated.
