  • If you are an OEM you can get those updates through ECE. If you're not
an OEM then you can only get the full set of updates that include 2008 +
    2009 here:

  • Hi Michel,

I have already tried this update but after installing,  I start getting following errors-

                  - coredll.def : error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol CeSafeCopyMemory

                  - NMAKE : fatal error U1077: 'C:\WINCE500\sdk\bin\i386\nmake.exe' : return code '0x2'

To resolve these errors, I am searching for this 2008 rollup update.

    Thanks &Regards,

  • You need to do a clean sysgen (blddemo clean -q) after installing the
updates. The 2009 update rollup contains the 2008 rollup as well.

  • I already tried clean sysgen (blddemo clean -q) option but got the same result.

  • That is strange and should not happen. Did you by any chance ever do a
"build and sysgen" of your OS Design (a blddemo without the -q parameter)?

If so, you've probably messed up your build tree and will have to
    reinstall...

  • Hi Michel,

No, I tried "blddemo clean -q" from command prompt with q parameter. I also have blddemo.bat file in my application, which I tried separately. Did that caused this problem? But the thing is, I start getting this problem after installing  "WinCEPB50-091231-Product-Update-Rollup-Armv4I" update only. Do I need to reinstall whole things again or is there anything that could fix this problem?

    Thanks

    Anil

  • You need to reinstall all QFE's from oldest to new, so start with the
2009 rollup, then all the monthly ones, then do a clean sysgen on your
    OS Design.

  • Oldest to newest, very simple. Download the QFEInstaller from my website
and run it from your QFE folder. It will install all QFE's automatically
    in the right order.

  • Hi Michel,

I got the following error after running QFE installer –

Windows CE 5.x/6.x Unattended QFE Installer

    GuruCE 2007 [http://GuruCE.com]

Source code available for free: mail to support@GuruCE.com

    -------------------------------------------------------------------

    License agreements accepted, continuing installation.

    Installing QFE's from C:\Documents and Settings\XPMUser\Desktop to C:\WINCE500

    WARNING: CreateFileList returned error 2!

    Error opening update.lst

I just download the installer from given path and run. Also I did not get QFE folder in my installation.

  • You have to DOWNLOAD all QFE's for Windows CE 5.0 into a folder, then
copy the QFEInstaller into that same folder and then run QFEInstaller.
The tool does not download all QFE's for you, that's your job...

  • Hi Michel,

Could you please tell me from where I can download following QFE?

    QFE101012_KB2352395

    Thanks

  • You can't.  QFEs don't come out one at a time.  They come in groups, one month at a time.  To avoid having to install dozens and dozens of QFEs to bring a new Platform Builder install up to date, the monthly downloads are DELETED when a yearly roll-up is created and posted.

  • I've seen this error with SDBUS2 before but this is usually resolved by
doing a clean sysgen. Can you show us the exact error? Maybe we can help
    you resolve it.

The other errors with coredll.def are gone now?
