'ConnectionSSL' Parameter Could not be found [Connecting to EXCH 2010] RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am running the following code:

    $UserCredential = Get-Credential
    $Session = New-PSSession -ConfigurationName Microsoft.Exchange -ConnectionSSL -Credential $UserCredential
    Import-PSSession $Session

the first line request my creds through a dialog box. Creds are stored just fine, second line is where the issue begins. I am receiving the following error:

New-PSSession : A parameter cannot be found that matches parameter name 'ConnectionSSL'.
    At line:1 char:78
    + $Session = New-PSSession -ConfigurationName Microsoft.Exchange -ConnectionSSL <<<< -Credential $UserCredential
        + CategoryInfo          : InvalidArgument: (:) [New-PSSession], ParameterBindingException
        + FullyQualifiedErrorId : NamedParameterNotFound,Microsoft.PowerShell.Commands.NewPSSessionCommand

Assistance with this please, having trouble understanding. Does the parameter not exist?
