Windows Application Visual C# on Windows 8.1 tablet RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I am building a small utility app as a Windows Application in VS 2013 C#. It runs well when I test on a Windows 8.1 desktop. If I try to run a release version on a Windows 8.1 tablet (full Windows 8.1 x 64 bit OS, not Windows RT), the same app runs, but with distortions to graphic drawing.

I am wondering if there are some additional libraries that need to be added (Add Reference) to allow the Net framework to run better on a Windows tablet? Or some other missing components?

Answers

  • No, the libraries should be identical. You need to scrutinize your application more closely and determine what is causing the so-called "distortion".

  • Hi Brian,

Thank you for your reply and information.

Yes, I will more carefully go through the code to see if I can find what is causing the distortion in the tablet view yet not for the desktop.

    Best Wishes,
