Is there an equivalent of WebBrowser.IsScriptEnabled for the Windows 8 WebView control RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am trying to write an app that loads HTML pages, with the ability to turn on\off scripting with a simple button in the appbar. On the Windows Phone, I could use the IsScriptEnabled property, but I couldn't find an equivalent for the Windows 8 Store apps in the WebView control.

    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/apps/br227702.aspx

I tried using the Scriptnotify event to intercept events, but it was not firing when the page is calling javascripts.

Let met know if anyone found a way to disable scripting when loading pages using the Windows WebView control.

  • There isn't a direct way, but you could download the page, modify the HTML as needed, and then load it with NavigateToString.
