Changing Fill Color in Staff shapes

I am can't seem to figure out how to customize the fill color of Staff shape in Visio 2013. I can change the color of the Executive, Manager, Position, Assistant, Consultant, and Vacancy shapes using the Format Shape section. When I try to format the Staff shape using the same steps (0% transparency, solid fill), nothing happens. Am I missing something? Please help.

Hi,

Based on my test, the Staff shapes can't fill color to shape, because it is based on the Staff master shape. We can only fill the text string with different color. As a workaround, we might create a new Staff master shape by ourselves. Detailed steps:
